Salpa is a bonded leather fibre material made in Europe by a process of recycling vegetable tanned leather. They create this product through finely milling vegetable tanned leather scraps and adding in a natural fat and latex binder to produce a product that is similar in stiffness to veg tan leather but at a lower cost. 

Salpa is popular as a natural material for linings in belts, watch straps, clutches, wallets, books and other small leather goods. We get them in sheets lengths for ease in use for many types of projects. It accepts glue well and is the best low cost way to reinforce your leather projects!
