Tochigi has been tanning premium leather in Japan since 1937. They are one of the few remaining tanneries producing premium veg tan articles.  Tochigi is well known for their attention to detail and unique natural veg tan leathers.

Tochigi glazed natural veg tan is a special premium article used by many of the top Japanese leather artisans for the amazing patina it will develop as it is worn in and used over time. The Wabisabi has 2 finishing options Glazed and Unglazed . The Glazed has a nice subtle sheen to it from polishing in the finishing process this will patina overtime just a little less than the Unglzed. The Unglazed is completely naked and will develop a beautiful patina more quickly

Please note natural vegtan like the Wabisabi are full aniline, meaning you will see blemishes, veins, bites and scratches in the leather hide. You can choose to embrace them into your design or hide them as necessary. The benefits of an aniline finish again is its incomparable patina it will develop as it ages.  This leather will make for great for both small and medium sized leather goods.
